Contacts

Shoshone County Inmate Population is a private reference site, not a jail, sheriff's office, court, prosecutor, public-records office, or corrections agency. We cannot confirm current custody, release anyone, post bond, retrieve official booking records, or change a court or jail record. Use the public office that controls the record or custody decision.

Shoshone County Jail Contacts

For same-day custody status, bond instructions, visitation availability, or a question about a person held at the local jail, start with the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office and Shoshone County Jail.

The county did not publish an official online jail roster or mobile sheriff app in the research reviewed for this site. The jail phone is therefore the practical first step for local custody questions, while written public-record requests are better for copies of records or older details.

Records and Court Routing

Different Shoshone County offices handle different pieces of a jail or arrest matter. Use the list below to choose the closest match before calling or sending a request.

Public Records Requests

Shoshone County's public-records request form uses a county address and includes a law-enforcement addendum for Sheriff and 911 records. That addendum is the local route for investigatory reports, sheriff responses, dispatch logs, dispatch audio, and incarceration-date details when those records are not posted online.

The form warns that law-enforcement investigatory records tied to a current investigation or prosecution may be withheld under Idaho Code 74-124. It also asks whether the request is for a prohibited mailing or telephone-list purpose.

Clerk and Prosecutor

Court filings and filed criminal charges are separate from jail custody. The clerk and court office handles court records and case access, while the prosecutor's office handles criminal prosecution for the county.

Notification and Locator Tools

VINELink is available for Idaho custody and victim-notification searches, including release or status notices where the participating agency provides data. For people no longer held in the county jail, IDOC, BOP, and ICE systems may be the correct place to search depending on the type of custody.
